Portables Toilets & Sanitation Bowsers

Camperdown Environmental Services has a proven track record in the supply and servicing of portable toilets to a wide variety of institutions and events such as:
- Mines

- Exhibitions
- Fairs
- Areas handling large numbers of people,
such as border posts during holidays
- Music Festivals
These toilets used by Camperdown, are manufactured from low density and linear low density polyethylene which limits the ease of ignition, flame spread, fire gas and smoke generation of the items, thereby making it ideal for use underground. Research has shown that the introduction and sensible distribution of portable toilets underground enhances the productivity of underground staff and it reduces the unnecessary movement of staff wishing to utilise toilets. Camperdown supplies both standard bucket system toilets as well as flushable toilets – the latter being provided with a hand basin and a 45 litre tank for supplying the hand basin water. Where the flushable toilets are provided for the exclusive use by females, a sanitary bin can be affixed inside these toilets. Camperdown is also in a position to service these sanitary bins.
In conjunction with underground portable toilets, sanitation bowsers are normally introduced to facilitate the cleaning of toilet buckets. Full buckets from toilets are emptied into the bowsers and, once full, the bowsers are taken to surface where the content is dumped and the bowsers cleaned. The emptied buckets underground are cleaned and chemically treated before it is placed back in the toilets. This method eliminates the unnecessary movement of buckets or the presence of unused buckets in the mine.
